Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Sydney
Small shifts in thinking lead to better, more balanced living.

Empower Your Child’s Mental Health
Has your child ever seemed stuck in negative thoughts or worries? Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a treatment that aims to help children understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and work through unhelpful thinking patterns.
At Aspiring Minds Child Psychology, we want every child to feel supported and understood. Offering both therapy and psychometric assessments, we work closely with young people as they navigate concerns during this time of growth. Whether they feel anxious, sad, or something they can’t quite describe, we aim to help them build the skills to face challenges as they come.
What is CBT?
CBT is a structured, goal-oriented therapy that explores how thoughts, emotions, and behaviours may influence one another.
CBT focuses on identifying and changing unhelpful thoughts and behaviours that contribute to current difficulties. In doing so, it aims to help your child develop practical tools and healthier ways of thinking that they may carry with them through everyday life.

Emotional, Social, and Behavioural Challenges CBT May Support
CBT draws on a variety of techniques and approaches that may support young people experiencing a range of emotional, social, and behavioural concerns. These include:
-
Anxiety and excessive worries
-
Low mood and negative thinking
-
Emotional regulation difficulties
-
Social anxiety and friendship difficulties
-
Anger, frustration, and emotional outbursts
-
Behavioural difficulties and impulsive reactions
-
Low self-esteem and unhelpful thinking patterns
-
School-related stress and avoidance behaviours
